Context
Truwell is a one-stop-shop for health and happiness
Founded by healthcare vets Makenzie Teichert and Varesh Chaurasia, Truwell aims to bring a much-needed offering to the health and wellness market.
Truwell is built with the understanding that health and wellness are not siloed facets of life — they radiate and influence all aspects of our personal and professional lives.
Their solve is an integrated, comprehensive ecosystem rooted in community-building, giving members the resources they need to achieve healthier, happier lives alongside like-minded peers.
Approach
Building the Truwell brand and website
Makenzie and Varesh came to us knowing exactly what they wanted the brand to signal — warmth, precision, and timelessness.
We began by engrossing ourselves in their philosophy. Wellness and health not just for the body's sake, but for every aspect of life. The personal and professional lives of an individual are reflective of physical and mental wellbeing, for better and for worse.
So we landed on the concept of health as the center of being, and "radiating" outward to affect the rest of life. Tying that into their five core pillars (medical, fitness & recovery, longevity, mental health, and community), we designed a symbol reminiscent of the sun, with five beams representative of the pillars radiating outward. Paired with a hand-customized sans-serif wordmark, the logo becomes an enticing centerpiece for the brand to revolve around.
The palette emerged as a calm, muted suite of green, brown, and cream, calling on notes from nature and parchment. They blend together beautifully with soft gradient transitions.
The typography system is editorial-inspired, contrasting between a graceful display serif and a confident sans serif, and precise usage guides ensure the editorial feel is maintained across applications. And the cherry on top — a set of stone and earth textures glue the whole system together.
When played all together, these parts harmonize as a brand that is calming, intuitive, and luxurious, in addition to everything they were initially looking for. Truwell is building a place to nurture minds and bodies, and the brand extends the invitation.
